eMasker : Tinnitus Treatment Device
Sound therapy has been used for treating tinnitus for a long time and can effectively mitigate tinnitus and reduce tinnitus irritation of patients. Generally, tinnitus masking treatment is carried out in a hospital. This causes the patient much inconvenience and expense for long-term treatment. Above all, most masking or sound treatment devices are not individually based, thus reducing effectiveness of the treatment. As an alternative, the eMasker is small in size, easy to carry and can be individually programmed based on the results of tinnitus evaluation. It can be conveniently used at home or other environments.
The eMasker can be digitally connected to our successful tinnitus evaluation system, TinniTest and the patient’s results constitutes the base for prescribing sound treatment.
Main features
- Prescription data can be input directly into the device. Accurate prescriptions can achieve more effective rehabilitation results.
- Small size can be conveniently carried for easy use in any environment.
- Sophisticated and ergonomic in design making it easy to handle and manipulate.
- Uses a lithium powered battery for long service life.
Working Principle
The eMasker Tinnitus Masking system is mainly comprised of a memory chip, decoding chip, DA converter, audio amplifiers and other components. Its working principle is as follows:
First, all various masking sound signals are input into the memory chip of the eMasker. The decoding chip decodes the masking sound signals into digital signals. These digital signals are then converted into analog masking sounds through the DAC. Through the audio amplifier, the converted analog masking sounds are amplified and then transmitted to headphones. Through the output of the headphones, the masking sound signals can be exactly heard.
The scope of application
Apply to tinnitus patients, in particular suffering from long-term obstinate tinnitus, accompanied with mental and emotional change and sleep disorders.
Application to use eMasker:
- Long-term, severe tinnitus;
- Tinnitus with unknown pathogeny.
- Pathogeny of tinnitus is known but can’t be cured. Treat the primary disease positively accompanied with the eMasker.
Contraindications
No contraindications when using the eMasker, however, be aware of some relative contraindications such as hearing allergies, exacerbated tinnitus after masking treatment; mental disease, severe hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular disease patients. After these diseases are under control, the eMasker can still be used to treat tinnitus as a masking treatment.
